An ex-patria Polish Air Force Officer's Hat serving in the RAF
Polish Air Force Eagle
The Air Force hat badge featured the Polish National Eagle surrounded by the wings that the famous Winged Hussars of Poland used to have attached to their backs. The eagle is crowned, reflecting the Polish monarchy, which was abolished when Polish Communists and Stalin's Red Army took over the country in 1944.
RAF Officer's Cap
This is a typical Officers cap for ranks through Wing Commander. Most ex-patria officers wore this style cap with their national crests sewn in place of the British badge. The hat is manufactured by Moss Bros., a well known British tailor in London. The inside sweat cover has aged orange.
