A Service Dress tunic to a Junior Lieutenant Observer in the Marine Luchtvaart Dienst (MLD)
This Jr. Lt. wears the standard wool uniform of the Dutch Navy with a few unique insignia for the flying branch of service.
Flying officers were indicated by the crowned engines and propellers on the collar along with any flight qulifications on the left breast.
The side view shows the rank curl with one thick braid and one thin braid for Jr. Lt.

The flight qulification insignia for an observer. This is the same pattern for army as well as navy. The insignia is sewn directly to the uniform.
